Art has always been an outlet for me to understand and analyze the world around me. After graduating High School I had started to forget how art was not just something I enjoyed but it also grounded me. When I started these pieces in the Spring of 2025 I decided to push myself out of my comfort zone. Experimenting with color using acrylic paint I put myself bare on canvas only focusing on what brush strokes and highlights I thought would complete each piece. I had always had a teacher before to show me a better way so this process allowed me to focus on what I thought was the best way to represent the figures in each painting.

I have heard many responses to my different paintings but the main ones that stick with me are about uncomfortability with the works or the feelings of desire they have evoked. To me the paintings are an homage to the art that is the human body and hopefully a helpful push away from the stigma formed around the nude body.
